Notes
Ofcom has now confirmed details of its award for the 2.6GHz band which is scheduled to take place after the end of 2008.
Short term use of 2500 - 2690MHz will continue to be licensed until further notice and it is now available to be booked online.
Following the award, likely to take place early in 2009, the only remaining 10MHz channels available to license at 2.5GHz not
shared with licence exempt devices will be the two centred on 2395MHz and 2490MHz.
Also be aware that channels between 2390 and 2500MHz are susceptible to interference from licence exempt Wireless LAN equipment. Its use is becoming more widespread particularly in built-up areas and at large events.
