Who are we?
Amanda Houchen, Operations Manager
Amanda joined JFMG as Strategy and Communications Manager (see Executive page) in July 2006 and extended her responsibilities to Operations Manager in September 2007.
Keith Brogden – Frequency Coordinator
Keith joined JFMG in July 1997.
His role as a Frequency Coordinator is to coordinate and assign VHF, UHF, SHF and EHF spectrum for the wide range of applications in the programme making, entertainment and events sector. As well as our day-to-day licensing function, Keith also deals with any technical enquiries and acts as both lead and support coordinator for our spectrum management of major events.
Prior to joining JFMG, Keith worked as a video conferencing Engineering Manager at Cable and Wireless and an Overseas Commissioning Engineer at Racal-Decca Radar.
In his spare time Keith has a keen interest in French (passing his A-level examination in Summer 2007) and swimming. He also regularly repairs VCRs and TV’s. He has a HND in Electrical Engineering.
Will Columbine - Operations Assistant
Will joined JFMG in December 2005.
His primary role is to deal with general enquiries, process applications and payments and to ensure all of our customers licences are delivered on time. He also helps with preparing licence schedules in busy periods and contributes to coordination jobs.
Beverley Holt – Operations Assistant (Finance)
Beverley joined JFMG in August 2006.
Her role is primarily to deal with general enquiries, process applications and payments and to ensure all of our customers licences are delivered on time. She also helps with preparing licence schedules in busy periods and contributes to coordination jobs.
Beverley’s role has also expanded to include more finance responsibilities, such as bank reconciliation and financial reporting. She has also recently achieved a bookkeeping certificate.
Prior to joining JFMG, Beverley worked as a Loopstation Assistant at Turnkey/Media tools and as an Audio Editor for Hybrid Lab.
When she is not working for JFMG Beverley enjoys playing the guitar, music production, overseas travel and amateur electronics. She has a BSc (Hons) Degree in Maths, an advanced diploma in Music Production & Sound Engineering and has passed various grades in a number of musical instruments.
Brent James – Frequency Coordinator
Brent joined JFMG February 2003 in a coordinator support role and was subsequently promoted to Frequency Coordinator in 2005.
His role as a Frequency Coordinator is to coordinate and assign VHF, UHF, SHF and EHF spectrum for the wide range of applications in the programme making, entertainment and events sector. As well as our day-to-day licensing function, Brent also deals with any technical enquiries and acts as both lead and support coordinator for our spectrum management of major events.
Prior to joining JFMG, Brent worked for WS Atkins as an IT Helpdesk Analyst.
Prue Menmuir – Frequency Coordinator
Prue joined JFMG in October 2005, working 3 days a week.
Her role as a Frequency Coordinator is to coordinate and assign VHF, UHF, SHF and EHF spectrum for the wide range of applications in the programme making, entertainment and events sector. As well as our day-to-day licensing function, Prue also deals with any technical enquiries and acts as a support coordinator for our spectrum management of major events.
Prior to joining JFMG, Prue worked for the BBC as a Recording Engineer and later for their Television Outside Broadcast Sound department. She currently combines her role at JFMG with freelance sound.
In her spare time Prue enjoys pilates, cooking, singing and community charity work. She has a HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Jaydev Patel – Frequency Coordinator
Jay joined JFMG in January 1999.
His role as a Frequency Coordinator is to coordinate and assign VHF, UHF, SHF and EHF spectrum for the wide range of applications in the programme making, entertainment and events sector. As well as our day-to-day licensing function, Jay also deals with any technical enquiries and acts as both lead and support coordinator for our spectrum management of Major events. He has been involved in the successful management of the Formula One British Grand Prix for the past four years.
Prior to joining JFMG, Jay was a Communications and Technical Officer for the Metropolitan Police.
When he is not working for JFMG Jay plays keyboards in a band, and has a keen and hands-on interest in classic cars from the 70’s and 80’s. He has a BEng degree in Electronic Engineering.
Des Vitalis – Frequency Coordinator
Des joined JFMG in 2000.
His role as a Frequency Coordinator is to coordinate and assign VHF, UHF, SHF and EHF spectrum for the wide range of applications in the programme making, entertainment and events sector. As well as our day-to-day licensing function, Des also deals with any technical enquiries and acts as both lead and support coordinator for our spectrum management of Major events. He also recently took on the additional role of Quality Manager.
Prior to working at JFMG, Des worked as a Test Engineer at Radio Frequency Investigations Ltd. In 2004 he did a tour of duty in Iraq.
Des has a keen interest in football and the movies. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Physics with Electronics and Computing and a Masters in Microwave Communications.
