Channel 21
The tuning range of some standard UHF talkback equipment , normally tuned for 457/467 or 455/468 MHz, can be extended into frequencies within UHF TV Channel 21 (470 - 478 MHz).
This flexibility alleviates the pressures on possible saturation of talkback bands at larger events and in congested urban areas (especially London).
Typical frequency ranges for Channel 21 talkback are 474.00625 - 474.99375 base Tx and 470.00625 - 470.99375 portable Tx.
Use is restricted in areas where households rely upon reception of UHF TV Channel 21.
