Daniel
Grimes - JFMG Business Manager
Daniel gained extensive customer service and relationship management experience prior to JFMG running a start up business and developing teams for corporate organisations.
Outside of the office, Daniel can often be found at the gym, where he likes to set goals to achieve his best.

Tristan
Cairns – Operations Supervisor
Tristan joined JFMG in 2011 as Operations Supervisor. Tristan supervises and supports the Operations team, ensuring all licensing functions meet the company's objectives and audit requirements. He is also tasked with continually improving the service JFMG provides to our customers.
Tristan was responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Operations team during our busy events period, particularly during Glastonbury, T in the Park and the Grand Prix.
Before joining JFMG, Tristan worked for 10 years as a freelance sound engineer.
Tristan enjoys outdoor pursuits - kayaking, canoeing, mountain-biking and walking throughout the UK.

Beverley Holt – Operations Analyst
Beverley joined JFMG in August 2006.
Her role is primarily linked to the production, development and reporting requirements of JFMG. Beverley is also responsible for all financial reporting within the business.
Prior to joining JFMG, Beverley worked as a Loopstation Assistant at Turnkey/Media tools and as an Audio Editor for Hybrid Lab.
Beverley has a BSc (Hons) Degree in Maths, an Advanced Diploma in Music Production & Sound Engineering.
Beverley is currently studying a BSc in Biodiversity and Conservation.
Emily Jeffers – Personal Assistant
Emily joined JFMG in 2007. She works as a part-time executive assistant, supporting the JFMG Business Manager Daniel Grimes and his teams. She is responsible for managing Dan’s diary and administrating all meetings chaired by Dan. She also supports Dan and other members of staff with project work as this arises.
Emily worked closely with the executive team on JFMG’s successful bid for the Ofcom PMSE contract in 2010 and is supporting Dan with managing the team’s work on coming events
Before joining JFMG, Emily held various administrative positions in the civil service and media while completing her BA and MA studies.
Emily is a qualified teacher of the Alexander
Technique and also enjoys dancing and writing.

Philip Harris, MIET – Principal Engineer
Phillip has been working at JFMG since we were founded in 1997. He is a Principal Engineer working on the planning and deployment of enhancements to our website and back-office software, as well as maintaining our complex database system.
Phillip was a key player in the implementation of our 2012 Wireless Microphone check and the Channel 38 Look-up tool.
Before joining JFMG, Phillip held various engineering posts for 15 years with manufacturers of TV studio equipment and then for 9 years with ITV.
Phillip enjoys photography and
visiting National Trust properties (often at the same time).
Simon Eley, CEng MIET – Principal Engineer
Simon also co-ordinates spectrum at large events such as the Glastonbury Festival, Ryder Cup and Open Championship and played a major role in managing the unprecedented demands of the Royal Wedding monitoring spectrum use and supporting Ofcom staff in the field.
Simon started out with BBC Transmission leading projects to re-engineer television transmitting stations. He went on to plan frequency assignments for RSL radio stations at the Radiocommunications Agency where he was also involved in international standards and radio compatibility work.
Simon hase a BEng (Hons) in Communications Engineering from Plymouth University.
Outside of JFMG, Simon enjoys
spending time with his young family.
Craig Puddephatt – Infrastructure Architect
Craig also provides additional support as a spectrum planner and looks after major events when necessary. He has previously coordinated the Grand Prix and the 2007 Tour de France.
Craig has previously worked for Yorkshire Television and various broadcast equipment hire companies.
He has a BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Technology Specialist.
Craig’s interests
include sport, music and literature.

Will Columbine -
Frontline Administrator
Will has worked at JFMG since 2005. He works as a Frontline Administrator and is responsible for assisting customers with enquiries, processing applications and preparing schedules for in-house coordination.
Will attended the Grand Prix 2011, where he assisted Ofcom in responding to interference reports and provided on-site support to customers and the JFMG admin team.
In his free time Will enjoys music, playing the drums & guitar and swimming.
Joy Wixley - Frontline Administrator
Joy joined JFMG in April 2012 as a Frontline Administrator. Joy administrates the licencing process and deals with customer enquiries and applications. Joy has an Advanced Diploma in Sound Engineering and Media Development, and has worked in varied backgrounds of sound engineering, event production, administration and customer services.
In her free time Joy enjoys photography, music and travelling.
Paddy
O’Reilly, MIET – PMSE Field Engineer
Paddy worked closely with Ofcom Field Staff at the Royal Wedding, detecting unlicensed PMSE use and supporting them in enforcement activities. At the UEFA Champions’ League Final, Paddy supported the event Media Partner to ensure all PMSE requirements for a large broadcast, media and marketing contingent were met. He also provided a week-long on-site presence leading up to, and during the event to capture any last minute requirements, assist with system deployment and deal with any spectrum related issues.
Before joining JFMG Paddy led a team of spectrum planning engineers responsible for developing network plans for a wide range of technologies including UK terrestrial television digital switchover, a mobile TV network and 3G and GSM mobile networks.
Paddy’s three small children occupy a lot of his ‘free’ time but he is also a school governor for a small village school.When he has time, he enjoys riding his mountain bike or his Harley Davidson.

Jaydev Patel – PMSE Spectrum Planner
Jay has been working at JFMG since 1999. As one of our PMSE Spectrum Planners he carries out spectrum management and coordination as well as frequency planning for major and standard events. Jay specialises in negotiating additional spectrum for Major Events.
Jay worked closely with stakeholders developing a plan for wireless video use at the Royal Wedding. He is also responsible for frequency planning at the Formula 1 Grand Prix, where he provides on-site attendance to support customers and Ofcom with frequency related issues. Jay specialises in spectrum planning for Motor Racing events.
Before joining JFMG, Jay worked as Communications and Technical Officer for the Metropolitan Police Service. He holds a BEng (Hons) degree in Electronic Engineering.
Jay has a keen interest in driving
and maintaining classic cars from the 70’s and 80’s. His
other interests include Music Technology and playing the
keyboards in bands.

Des
Vitalis – PMSE Spectrum Planner
Des has worked at JFMG since 2000. He works as a PMSE Spectrum Planner, licensing and coordinating PMSE spectrum as well as planning frequency use at large and small venues across the UK.
Des plans spectrum for a range of events such as Wimbledon, the FA Cup Final and the V Festivals. He also worked on the spectrum plans for Canada Gate and Westminster Abbey during the Royal Wedding, which required meticulous planning to deal with the large frequency use in such concentrated areas.
Des has a BSc. in Applied Physics with Electronics and Computing and a MSc. Microwave Communications.
Des enjoys sports in his free time, watching football and going cycling

Freddie Cook – PMSE
Spectrum Planner
Freddie joined JFMG in August 2011, as a Frontline Administrator to support the build up to the Olympics. He was promoted to PMSE Spectrum Planner in April 2012.
Freddie has a 2:1 degree in BSc (Hons) Media Technology.
In his spare time Freddie enjoys watching football, Ceroc, going to the cinema and eating in restaurants.

Michael Ryder – PMSE
Spectrum Planner
Michael joined JFMG in April 2012 as a PMSE
Spectrum Planner. Michael is from an
engineering background in the Broadcast &
Telecommunications industry where he worked
in various roles across broadcast FM Radio,
DAB and Digital TV service delivery. Michael
will be coordinating spectrum for day to day
licensing activities for events and
applications and will also be providing
support in managing the Ofcom Contract.
Away from JFMG, Michael enjoys live music,
and playing sport.
