Digital wireless microphones are now permitted in the bands 470 - 854 MHz and 854 - 862 MHz.
From the UK Interface Requirement, the maximum bandwidth is 200 kHz and the maximum transmitter power is 10 mW erp (this may be increased to 50 mW for body-worn equipment). The reference equipment standard is EN 300 422.
Note: From 1st January 2013 access to TV Channels 61 - 69 will cease.
TV Channels 31 - 37 are currently being reviewed by Ofcom. PMSE access will continue until at least 1st April 2013. JFMG will continue to issued 12-month licences but with a condition allowing for revocation with a minimum of six months notice. Please see our Digital Switchover page for more information.
Wider bandwidth digital wireless microphones (e.g. to reference standard EN 301 840) are not permitted in these bands.
Doesn't match up?
If your kit isn't tuned to the frequencies suggested you may still be able use it.
Check Your Frequencies to see if we can licence it at the power, bandwidth and location you require.
